In the latest round of radio’s royalty fight, Senators John Barrasso (R-WY) and Heidi Heitkamp (D-ND) yesterday introduced the Local Radio Freedom Act to the Senate. According to an article on Inside Radio, the Act is non-binding but opposes any on-air performance royalty on radio stations.
